Rigid Soul

Rigid Soul are a Scottish power trio (now Quartet) striving to keep the old spirits of blues, jazz and rock ‘n’ roll alive through their modern eclectic sound. The line up – Kyle Hood (guitar/vocals), L. Brown (bass) and Lewis Ross (drums) Rachel Duns on Saxophone – formed in 2018. The band has since played relentlessly around Glasgow/Scottish venues focusing on building their live repertoire and original material. Some highlight shows to date include support slots with Zal Cleminson of The Sensational Alex Harvey Band, Kyle Falconer of The View and performing at the Isle of Arran’s Rock ‘n’ Blues Festival, Bonfest & Eden Festival.
In 2024, the trio released three singles and set out on some new ventures, including a performance at the Edinburgh Jazz & Blues
Festival and their first gigs outside of Scotland – notably Cambridge Rock festival with the amazing addition to their band Rachel Duns on Saxophone. With the release of their new album Rigid Soul launched on 30th May the band have produced the best album to hit the new releases yet.
