Dennis Smalley aka King Buddah

Dennis Smalley, also known as King Buddah, has been around on the Glasgow Blues Scene for a long time! 55 years to be precise. There have been many career twists and turns over those years. The highlights are undoubtedly fronting his own band The Blues Buddahs from 1999 to 2007 in tandem there was also a very fruitful period as a house band singer at Studio 1 Glasgow 2003 to 2005. A self-confessed non writer, Dennis’ great love has always been the great songs of Peter Green & BB King which spearheaded an even greater repertoire of blues classics. Now partially deaf at age 73, Dennis is still learning and concentrating on being the best front man, vocalist he can possibly be. The historic well of the Blues is so deep that you would never run out of material to perform. It’s a joy to perform songs you can emotionally feel and transmit to the audience. Dennis is still currently fronting his band Blue Horizon and will be singing along with the musical support of Tommy Bentz Band, Pete Parisetti and more.
