Rigid Soul

Rigid Soul are a Scottish power trio striving to keep the old spirits of blues, jazz and rock ‘n’ roll alive
at the heart of their modern eclectic sound. The now definitive lineup – Kyle Hood (guitar/vocals),
Lewis Ross (drums) and Liam Brown (bass) – formed in 2018 and since then, the band has played
relentlessly around Glasgow venues, focusing on building their live repertoire and original material,
notably with regular gigs at The Howlin’ Wolf blues bar. Some more of the bands highlight shows to
date include support slots with Zal Cleminson of The Sensational Alex Harvey Band, Kyle Falconer of
The View and a performance at the Isle of Arran’s Rock ‘n’ Blues Festival. Rigid Soul will bring a
stream of new releases in the near future and an enhanced energy to their live performances.

Quote from Fabrications HQ: Rigid Soul at the 2019 Arran Rock n Blues Festival
“First up to represent Ayrshire were Rigid Soul, three young lads whose talents belie their age;
fronted by Kyle Hood on guitar and vocals, their set of originals and covers was extremely well
received as would be their Sunday slot at the Pierhead Tavern, known more locally as the PHT (the
other venue hosting ARBNF music across the two days). The trio moved with ease between originals
such as the weighty, mid-tempo Five Out of Four to a bluesy, rocking out cover of Black Sabbath’s
Wicked World.”
