GENERAL Information - Camping, Ferry and Directions

Getting to Arran:

There are three main routes to Arran:

  1. Ardrossan to Brodick: Take a 55-minute ferry ride. It’s recommended to make vehicle reservations in advance.

  2. Claonaig to Lochranza: This route from Kintyre to the north end of Arran takes about 30 minutes by ferry.

  3. Troon to Brodick: Available from 29 March to 23 September, this crossing takes 1 hour and 20 minutes. Reservations are advised. You can check the Troon to Brodick timetable for details.

Camping

Small tents will be allowed on the field of the Ormidale Park on Friday, Saturday & Sunday (booking advised) however facilities are limited. Showers and toilets available in the sports pavillion. Campervans

We have a limited number of hard standing parking spaces for campervans for Friday, Saturday & Sunday only but booking is essential. Awnings will not be possible.  Facilities are very limited on site. Toilets & showers are available in the sports pavillion however no elsan or water fill up.  For those wanting a hook up the nearest park is at the Auchrannie Resort https://www.auchrannie.co.uk/motorhome-stopover.html

Due to close proximity to residential areas, anti social behaviour will not be tolerated and campers will be moved on if this occurs.  We ask our guests to respect the local community at all times.
