Arran, known as “Scotland in Miniature”, became the backdrop for the inaugural Arran Rock ‘n Blues Festival in July 2018 where six bands produced a day to remember and put The Arran Rock ‘n Blues Festival on the map. Then in 2019 the festival moved to a much larger marquee main stage by the sea in Lamlash & a secondary stage at The Pierhead Tavern, with 14 bands over two days. The festival was a sell out at 500 tickets.

2025 Festival

We held our festival at the Ormidale Park in Brodick which opened up the opportunity of a 500 capacity marquee, camping and a market.  This was a great success and we collaborated with the Brodick Golf Club who hosted lots more of our artists giving our festival goers a choice of venues along with great food.

2024’s Festival

was held in Lochranza where we collaborated with the Lochranza community inn and the outdoor centre to bring two stages plus an acoustic set at the Lochranza Country Inn.

2020’s festival was all set to happen on the September holiday weekend. This date is particularly important to Arran as it was when music lovers came en-masse in the 1970’s to support the early years’ of hugely famous artists such as Alex Harvey & Teargas, Nazareth, Slade & Thin Lizzie. We hope that this date would become key in the calendar for blues and rock fans alike however due to Covid you know what happened…

After the amazing success of our 2025 festival at the Ormidale Park & Sports Pavilion, we are staying at this superb venue which offers us the fields for a 500 capacity marquee, camping, market stalls and directly across the road our second venue The Brodick Golf Club.  All this in walking distance of the ferry port, the town amenities and lots of accommodation providers. We aim to promote 15 bands on our main stage opening 5pm on Friday 1st May until late on Sunday 3rd May along with many more local, national and international artists at the Golf Club.  We run masterclasses in the pavilion covering guitar techniques and this year a harmonica masterclass. Watch out for further details on our website and socials.
