About The Arran Rock ‘n’ Blues Festival
Now in our fourth year of live music in the most beautiful part of Scotland.
Arran, known as “Scotland in Miniature”, became the backdrop for the inaugural Arran Rock ‘n Blues Festival in July 2018 where six bands produced a day to remember and put The Arran Rock ‘n Blues Festival on the map. Then in 2019 the festival moved to a much larger marquee main stage by the sea in Lamlash & a secondary stage at The Pierhead Tavern, with 14 bands over two days. The festival was a sell out at 500 tickets.
2020’s festival was all set to happen on the September holiday weekend. This date is particularly important to Arran as it was when music lovers came en-masse in the 1970’s to support the early years’ of hugely famous artists such as Alex Harvey & Teargas, Nazareth, Slade & Thin Lizzie. We hope that this date would become key in the calendar for blues and rock fans alike however due to Covid you know what happened…
2024’s Festival
was held in Lochranza where we collaborated with the Lochranza community inn and the outdoor centre to bring two stages plus an acoustic set at the Lochranza Country Inn.
